Basil Al Habbal's story

Basil Al-Habal: My wife, my daughter and I were scared, so we fled to Deir al-Balah. I speak (in sign language) and share videos on social media, to show the world what we are going through. With my hearing aids, I can hear a little bit, enough to pick up the sound of the bombing. My hearing is about fifty percent. I am very scared, especially for my wife and daughter. My daughter cries a lot, and I do my best to calm her down, hug her, take her out for a walk, or give her toys to cheer her up. And somehow, life goes on.
