Statement launching the European campaign for Gaza

In light of the catastrophic circumstances that our Palestinian people are going through inside Palestine in general, and in the Gaza Strip in particular, where the Israeli occupation is waging a criminal war against the defenseless Palestinian civilians there, children, women, men and the elderly, which has claimed the lives of more than 57 thousand victims, including nearly 18 thousand children, more than 12 thousand women, nearly 1100 workers in the health sector, about 12800 male and female students, and nearly 202 victims from journalists, in addition to more than 110 thousand wounded, in addition to the displacement and homelessness of all residents of the Strip. The occupation targeted the entire infrastructure and destroyed everything related to humanity, including mosques, churches, schools, hospitals, universities, museums, archaeological sites, government centers, drinking water networks, and sewage water, leaving the Gaza Strip lacking all the elements of a decent life and in need of all forms of support and assistance that can secure the needs of the people there and ensure the required and sufficient pressure to stop this extended and escalating crime. In light of all this, a group of European activists working in various European countries are calling for a meeting, preparation, and study of ideas, leading to the announcement today of the launch of the “European Campaign for Gaza” as an institution that works to mobilize and coordinate European and international support for the Palestinian cause, with a focus on alleviating the suffering in Gaza and promoting justice and rights for the Palestinian people, adopting work at various political, media, human rights, humanitarian, and legal levels. The campaign aims to end the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and raise awareness in Europe about the humanitarian and legal situation of the Strip, through media, cultural and human rights campaigns. The campaign also aims to document Israeli violations of international laws and charters, and push legally towards holding those responsible accountable. The campaign also seeks to improve the living conditions of its residents, by providing assistance in various fields such as health, education and others, as well as supporting sustainable development projects to empower the Palestinian people there economically and socially. To achieve all of this, the campaign has begun organizing its work committees and mobilizing volunteer teams and experts working with it. It has also begun conducting a series of meetings and communications with many institutions specialized in this field. Here, the "European Campaign for Gaza" announces its extension of partnership, integration and cooperation to all European institutions that work in this field, or wish to contribute in this field, in order to complement previous experiences and achievements and accumulate on them and with them, towards greater penetration and faster access to legitimate and common goals and aspirations. All institutions, associations and bodies wishing to communicate and coordinate with the campaign can communicate with the administration through the means of communication published via
